In the Swtor game every Star WarTM hero involves a companion. In the game, Han had Chewis, Luke had R2-D2. Even Jabba had the cracking monkey lizard Salacious B, Crumb. These characters complement a player’s strength’s or weaknesses and provide company for the epic journey one will necessary undertake. The companions invariably add to one’s adventure irrespective of the fact that they are combative, friendly, flirtatious or even if they are good at laugh.
In Star WarTM : The Old RepublicTM, a variety of these Companion characters joins your cause. Some will join you for adventure, some for greed and some for motivations that remains unknown until much further along in your adventure. The companions campaign the range from intelligent droids to bizarre aliens, from an honourable princess to a devilish pirate. Each set in the game has a completely unique set of Companions.
While one travels the galaxy, your Companions Characters provides you with commentary, information on plots and directions to points of interests- all from their own unique positions. Characters may act as your moral sense and will try to determine your decisions. In turn, you will influence them and change how they develop as the story continues. Depending on your choices some Companions will become your closet friends, others may become your lovers and some may even become your enemies. In the adventure one will be first introduced to a Companion Character. But as one becomes more seasoned more will rally to your cause. As one travels with your Companions and try to know them, they will become not only powerful but we will be introduced to a unique series of quests and rewards. One may further raise one’s companion by giving them various gears.
As one’s team grows and develops, new options, strategies and tactics will become available. There are few choices that can be made while you and your Companions roam the galaxy in the Star Wars: The Old Republic. When one heads towards ‘The Tomb’ on Belsavis, to decide who will bring to watch your back and help out the rest of your group. One has to decide as to who will bring the hard-as-nails soldier to help your enemies attention odd the group. Who can keep everyone alive in the gifted battlefield medic? Who will bring your ever-faithful Astromech whose computer skills may be the only hope for completing the mission. The companions in the game are Vette,T7-01, Bowdar, Kaliyo, Tanno Vik and Mako.
Vette has seen the galaxy and was born a slave on the occupied world of Ryloth. At an early age Vette was separated from her family and was sold to a series of minor crime lords. When pirate lord Nok Drayan destroyed her latest owner’s holdings, Vette and the other slaves were given a choice of their freedom or they could join up with Nok. Later Vette became a pirate and travelled the known worlds and learned to get in an out of the places she was not allowed to.
T7-01- The obstinate Astromech Droif intended T7-01 has not been memory-wiped since his activation since more than two centuries ago. T7-01 had a massive knowledge base and recorded each mission he had undertaken. This made him many friends and enemies. Since the memory of T7 remained intact he developed a frank personality, a strong independent streak and a unique perspective on the galaxy.
